AT LARKINS on the Lake and HWY 9 where 9 intersects with 74, Go East on 74 for 10 miles. You will be in the Greenhill Community. On the right , the Greenhill Store, which is a MARATHON gas station will be on the right next to the Greenhill Fire Department. Continue to the bottom of the hill, where Maple Creek RD intersects Hwy 74, continue straight, look to your Right and on the hill the LOG clubhouse where we are gathering sits next to an old two-story brick school building. If coming from the hotel areas in Forest City, go WEST on Hwy 74 BY_PASS to Rutherfordton. As you come to Rutherfordton you will see a KFC on your right and straight ahead you can see a Rite -Aid drug store and a Wafflehouse at this intersection. Here do not turn but go straight across in front of Wafflehouse. Go to second intersection where there is a four way stop, you will see a Freeman gas building on your left. Turn Left here. Go to end and you will intersect OLD HWY. 74. Turn Right here and go to Greenhill Community, the old brick school building will be on your Left and the little LOG clubhouse will be next to it. It is up on a hill, it's about 10 miles from hotels to this bldg. So watch your mileage, and look carefully after 9 miles. From both directions it is very close to 10 miles. |
